Easton Royal Academy
We are a small rural school, situated in a gorgeous village in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Parts of the school date back to 1870 and the site is packed with different places to learn; a mud kitchen, willow dome, outdoor reading and writing corner, secret garden, woodland story throne, vegetable beds and much more to explore.
Our children are active learners, who are independent thinkers with a love of enquiry and challenge. We are a true learning community where children ask more questions than teachers, and teachers evaluate and improve their work as much as the children.
Our young people are also creative and confident individuals, who are able to lead safe, happy and fulfilling lives and are able to express their thoughts, feelings and ideas in a range of different ways. Finally they are 21st century citizens who play an active role in their local and global community. Our children recognise and value difference and diversity and respect others for who they are.
The school was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in July 2013
‘We are a small rural school and for us, Excalibur represents one way to be connected to a much bigger team while still retaining our own ethos and individuality. Through working with our Excalibur partners, we are able to share best practice over a range of different schools, both primary and secondary. The ‘all through’ nature of our work together means that primary and secondary colleagues are able to collaborate and can coordinate a seamless learning journey for our children as they move from one stage to another.’
