Excellent GCSE results for St John’s Students

Bucking the national trend are the boys at St. John’s with this year’s highest fliers being Ollie Kanisius Pocock (12 A* grades), Greg Rogan Rea (11 A*s and an A), Jacob Smith (10 A*s and 2 As) and Matt Snell (also 10 A*s and 2 As). All four plan on studying A-levels at St. John’s.

These four have helped us smash our record for top grades with over a third of all grades being A* or A, despite GCSEs having been toughened up on Government orders.

Results were excellent overall with 71% of students achieving at least 5 A*-C grades including Maths and English Language or Literature.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Of course there are many other top students too: over 30 of them achieved at least 10 A or A* grades including: Max Brown, Dan Collins, Ollie Davies, Isabel Farrell, Freddie Good, Lucy Harton-Carter, Alex Knighton, Selwyn Lilley, Charlie Major, Isobel Mason, Joe Perdue, Asher Sandbach, Ruby Soellner, Sam Taylor and Anna Wren.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The focus is also on progress in Year 11 and we are delighted with the outstanding achievements of our top 5: Charlotte Jackson, Jocelyn Drew, Max Brown, Thomas Dore and Isabella Hutton who all beat their targets by 2 grades in every subject!

Congratulations to all of our students and thank you to their parents and all of our staff for their work in helping everyone achieve their results.
